Mid-Week Randoms

• Happy 12/12/12 Day! Did you know this is the last repeating day we will see in our lifetime? Can't decide if that's cool or depressing..
  
  
• Speaking of cool... our weather in these parts has been incredibly strange. Last week, it was so warm, I didn't take a coat and I was still sweating. Today? Low 40's. WTF.
  
  
• Do you ever think "I wonder who is pregnant"? (ITS NOT ME, I SWEAR). I just mean, it feels like everyday on Facebook, on Instagram, in Blogland, SOMEONE is waving their very positive pee stick and it always makes me think, "I wonderrrr who ELSE is keeping a secret!"
  
  
• Remember my list of gift ideas? Yea. Guess who has barely even started Christmas shopping. This girl.
  
  
• We have been trying to take it (fairly) easy lately, and relax on the weekends since the week leading up to Christmas and the few days that follow are always a crazy whirlwind. This is the first year we didn't host a big "Friends" Thanksgiving or Holiday dinner since so many of our friends moved away this year and I'm sort of sad about it :(
  
  
• We are officially 18 days away from the New Year. I had two resolutions and one was to not get pregnant. 18 days. 18 days...
  
  
• I know the whole Mayan calendar myth is like some crazy belief and the end of the world (most likely) won't actually happen.... but a teeny, tiny part of me is still kinda like, "EFFBALLS, what if those Mayans are right?" I asked Hubs if we could do anything to protect ourselves and he literally looked at me like I was insane.
  
  
• My clementine consumption this season is surely world-record breaking.
  
  
• My BFF is getting married the weekend before Christmas in NYC. Hubs and I are ditching the kids and going up for the weekend. I CAN'T WAIT. This is the closest thing we'll have to a vacation since I was in the hospital for my C-Section.
  
  
• Ky and Ariana had their 18mo and 6mo checkups this week. Ky didn't get any shots, but you wouldn't have known that standing outside our exam room. The kid FAH-REAKED out when they touched him... measured his head, looked in his ears, felt his belly... freaked.
  
  
• Ariana is about to crawl. Like thisclose. She's on all fours, rocking away, and moving her legs. Once she figures out she needs to move her arms, too... it's all over. I'm not ready. I'm soooo not ready.
  
  
• Speaking of our little miss... I've already started thinking about her first birthday. I know. I KNOW. Last time, my excuse was, "Oh, I have to do it so early because I'll be sooo pregnant." This time? Yea, I'm just excited. I have a theme and a place. Yikes.
