8 Months Old. Hold Me.

So, this is pretty much hilarious. I went to go write Ariana's 8-month post and just for funsies, I went back to read Ky's 8-month post and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, I seriously thought about copying and pasting the entire thing and passing it off as this post because kid you not, Ariana is doing ALL those same things: crawling, getting into everything, raspberries, squealing like a parakeet, grabbing my face... it's crazy. CRAZY I TELL YOU.

Weight: Honestly, no idea.

Hair: I feel like it's started slowing down from the crazy growth process it was in the last couple months... still growing but not as rapidly. She has little bald spots on either side of her forehead though so her bangs are kinda wonky, teehee :)

Eyes: You can't really tell in pictures, but they are a light brown.. much lighter than they seem.

Diapers: Offish in size 4's. She should probably be wearing 3's but this mama is lazy. Sorry, second baby.

Clothes: Still trying to squeeze her booty into 6mo pants, but thats not working so well anymore, lol.. I sucked it up and pulled out her 9 month pants and bought her a couple things. Wah. Still wearing 6 - 9 sleepers and 6 - 9 or 6 - 12 month tops. She's kind of an inbetweenie right now... 9 month sleepers are humungous on her, but the 6month ones are a bit snug.

Eating: So, this girl has recently decided she just doesn't like milk. She used to drink four 8oz bottles a day, and now? Not so much. We've started making 6oz bottles and sometimes she barely finishes them. She LOVES her food though. I'm pretty sure mealtime is her favorite time of day... and there has been nothing she has turned her nose at. I make all her babyfood, too and much unlike her brother, I started her on veggies first and she loves them all... butternut squash and sweet potatoes are her favorites. Her all time fave is sweet potato/apple with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Even I would eat that, it's so yum! She's also tried carrots, spinach, pears, banana, strawberries and blueberries. She's also recently started eating puffs and frozen fruit in the mesh teether.
 
Sleeping: She was sick for a stint the last couple weeks and pretty sure this week she's either having a growth spurt or teething or something. Her sleeping has been all over the place and I know thats a fact because I've been a grumpy mama lately. ONE NIGHT she gave us a break though and slept from 8:30pm - 8:15am and it was GLORIOUS. Other than that, she's been whiny and cranky and getting up kinda early. Meh. 

Milestones: 

She picked up that whole crawling thing in no time and now she's a bullet. This girl rockets around the house and I cannot keep up with her. She's getting into everything AND wants to stand up now... pulls herself up on the stairs, my legs, our entertainment center, the couch, the crib. We had to lower her crib mattress last week!

She also mastered the leg tuck and pops right up from laying down. The first time Ky did this, I totally freaked out. When she did it a couple weeks ago, I freaked out again! I went to go get her one morning when she was cooing in her crib and she was just hanging out, sitting up, like it was NBD. IT'S A BIG DEAL, LADY. 

When Ky was turning 8 months old and hitting all these milestones, I was 20 weeks pregnant, so I don't think it affected me as much as it has this time around. I find myself getting super nostalgic and teary-eyed... just thinking about how she's only four months shy of her first birthday already. My little baby girl is just getting so big. 

I apologize for the crappy quality of these iPhone pics! I've misplaced my camera charger and the battery is dead and I'm going bonkers without it! This has to be our least successful monthly photo-shoot yet... not only because I didn't have the camera but this girl does NOT SIT STILL. Changing her diaper is like wrestling a piglet. She's going to give me a run for my money, that's for sure...
