Our Favorite Toddler Must-Haves!

Now that Kyran is a little boy running around all over the place, really developing a personality, gaining independence and being as busy as ever... he's grown out of a lot of his baby-ness. While it breaks my heart to type that out, it's true. Most of his baby chub is gone. He has a full set of teeth. He's talking and learning SO much every.day. (Including recently the word "NO!" which is a fun one, let me tell you...) And he's just... just a boy. My little boy.

So I thought it'd be fun to do an update on his favorite things OF THE MOMENT. Because while it changes here and there daily.. these are a few things that have stuck around recently and that will without a doubt calm him down, bring him out of a funk or just put a smile on his face.

1.   2.   3.   4.   5.   6.   7.   8.

Being a toddler boy, Ky is obsessed with anything and everything trucks. This book is adorable, he lovesssss it and it's always a winner at bedtime.

I'll be the first to admit, the squeeze pouches grossed me out at first. Ky never ate them as a baby since I made all his own baby food but I did always had a couple on-hand for traveling or to keep in my diaper bag if and when he needed a snack. The first time I scooped up a "GoGo" (as we call them), was at a Wawa when we were roadtripping back from Philly. I knew he would want a snack in the car, and it was .99 cents, all-natural ingredients, gluten-free, no GMOs, etc.. HE LOVED IT. And now I buy them at Costco and they are so affordable and I always toss a couple in my purse when we go out. They come in a variety of flavors but Apple Apple and Apple Strawberry are his faves.

I swear, everytime I whip out a bottle of bubbles, Ky is like that fish from Finding Nemo. Come on, you know the one. It's HILARIOUS. In fact, it's how I get him to finish his dinner most nights, lol - "Ok, one more bite and I'll blow more bubbles!" Works every time. I bought a small pack of travel bubbles from the Valentine's section at Target to give to his classmates and we had a ton left over. I've started keeping them everywhere - diaper bag, purse, car -  to keep him entertained if he starts getting antsy. Can't wait for summer... I see a bubble machine in our very near future.

Aquadoodle
This was a Christmas gift and Ky went bonkers for it. Truth be told, I think I love it as much as he does. You can draw on it with the special pen it comes with using nothing but water and it doesn't stain or ruin furniture, floors or walls. He is constantly saying, "Draw. Draw." and leading me to go pull it out of the toy chest. I am definitely getting the travel one for our plane ride in a couple weeks!

Fruitables
I've mentioned before that Ky is a picky-eater. He's getting better, but the kid doesn't eat veggies unless I sneak them into his food. When my mother-in-law introduced me to Fruitables, I was sold in seconds. In fact, we never, ever, EVER even gave Ky juice until Discovering Fruitables about a month and a half ago. They mix high-nutrient veggies like purple carrot, beets, butternut squash, and more with fruit so you can barely taste the veggies. And it has less sugar than most other juices out there. That's what I'd call winning.

Sassy Baby Photo Album
My sweet mother-in-law gave Ky this photo album last year when they lived in California. She filled it with pictures of her and my father-in-law and the rest of the family that lived far away so he "would recognize them when he sees them." Broke my heart at the time, but it WORKED! And since then I've updated the pictures a few times and DAILY, Ky will sit and flip through this book and look at and name all the members of our families - Us, Hubs' parents, himself, Ariana (he calls her 'Yanna' - cutest ever, btw), my parents, our siblings and neices and nephews... he loves it. It keeps him entertained and it's so sweet to see him point out "PopPop!" and "Gammy!" and "Aiden!" Adorable.

Green Toys Dump Truck
A Christmas gift from us, both kiddos love this dump truck, but Ky especially. Also, you gotta love a company that makes toys from 100% recycled products. Ky is really into firetrucks lately, too and I think the Green Toys firetruck might just be an Easter gift ;)

Super Why
I am sad to report... that after 9 months, Ky's love for Bubble Guppies is slowly fading... lol. Gone are the days when he would ask for Oona, Molly and Gobi.... now, he's allllll about Whyatt, Alpha Pig and Princess P. Let me say, I do not like this show, hahaha... but, I love the message, the fact that it's educational, and since Ky is a total Alphabet NERD, he freakin' loves it. Seriously. When they sing the alphabet song, he just sits and grins ear to ear... that is, when he's not screaming out all the letters at the TV.

So these are a few of our faves lately! I'm sure they will change as we grow, maybe tomorrow... maybe next month. But I'll try to keep up and do a similar post every few months to let you know what we're currently loving on :)

Also, I was not compensated in any way to review any of these products. Swearsies.

Super Why rules in our house! KP has gotten to the point where we ALL have to put our hands in "Super Readers, to the RESCUE!" every time. It's really quite adorable. Randomly throughout the day you'll hear us singing Wonder Red's songs...
